Today's front page headlines tell about the raging wildfires that are burning out of control and threatening Mount Wilson (CA), where a 105-year-old observatory used by astronomer Edwin Hubble helped unravel some mysteries of the universe! A.Li think the goverment should prevent people from moving into dry high risk areas because it their job to protect us and they shouldnt let people move there.

ReplyDelete#5- I think that we should be concerned becasue we could have some family memebers that live near the fires, and could potentially be at risk to losing everything they have. Also we should be concerned because tree's give of oxergyn and we need that to live, so the less tree's the less oxergyn there is in the air .
ReplyDelete18- Yes we should be concerned because its decreasing the people in our states and also it may cause medical problems in their state. So therefore we should be concerned because they may need help. The fire could spread to more states.

ReplyDelete#21-I think that we should be concerned because even though we live really far away it has affect on us too, becasue people that help us like those 2 fire fighters can get their lives taken trying to protect the people. People lose their homes and depending on their house insurance they might not have anywhere else to go.
ReplyDelete#2- I do think we should be concerned about the wild fires going on in CA. For numerus reasons, some could be the lives of people that could be dying. The deaths of people could turn into a huge deal for the whole united states. Not to mention the wild life that is going to be destroyed. This can be tragic to the state california. So we should be concered because there could be ways we could maybe help stop it from happening again. We could support them in the needs they may need to provent it from spreding to different states.

20-I think the vidoe was terrafying because all the damage. The fire did to all the homes and the woods. Luckuly it stop before any got hurt.

The land there is very dry where our land is wet and it wouldnt last long here.Plus we should worry bout the teleoscope being destroyed because our econmy dosent have the money to fix a object of such.
ReplyDelete16- I don't think that we, as a state, should be worried, because we are so far from california. California is so dry, and Delaware is not as dry as California. But, I think that we as citizens be worried for everyone in California because a lot of their houses burned down.

#7-----> I am not concerned with these fires because they are miles and miles away and no one has never known Delaware to have any extreme wildfires like California. But I am concerned for California because that is were I plan to be moving when I turn 18 and I do not want stuff to happen like that anywhere near me when im there because I would be very scared for myself and others.

I personally think that we should be concerned about wildfires in other states because even though there is no danger to us, their is danger to other people and the enviorment. People could get hurt and die, and also the flames and smoke damage the ozone layer. "E.V"
ReplyDeleteJG I think that they should not allow anyone to live in the areas that these fires keep poping up in. They should also go aroud the area every so often and dampen the area down to hopefully prevent another fire.
ReplyDeleteJF: I think we should be worried about the wildfires because even though the fires are not by us, the people in California are suffering from this tragic. It is affecting the United States not just California so we should be worried since it may be happen in Delaware if we do not take care of the land. If the land is wet then wildfires will not start but if we are not getting any rain we might get a wildfire but it is not likely.

I think that people should know what they are getting into. If they want to move where it's very dry they should be aware of the consequences. It's their decision on where to move. K.M.S

i actually feel bad for the people in California because wildfires happen abundantly due to hot sunny climate. Can you imagine how many times they have to rebuild houses & provide aid to those who's houses get burned down on occasion? So sad.

ReplyDeleteThat would be terrible to be living near the fire. To have no idea what was going on. Not knowing that there was a fuse of trees leading to or around you house. especially if you aren't looking outside, you'd be wondering why the cable is out when you would probrobly be worried about the flames coming to engulf you and your house.

ReplyDeleteThat would be terrible to live in an area like that. People who live in areas like that should move or at least cut the trees down so that the fire isn't that big or moves around to different areas.

Wildfires happening in California is a huge problem that has been occurring over time, it can wipe out a whole neighborhood overnight. The reason for wildfires is that the dry air sets trees and grass on fire and spreads fast from all around. D.W

ReplyDeleteI think we should be concerned even if we do not live around that area because maybe we have family members who do live around that area and we want to make sure they are ok. Also we need to be aware because the fire could spread to different countries.
